Tansky granite quarry

Tansky granite (international trade name is Tansky GG10) is grey unequigranular with sizes of rock-forming individual minerals of 0.5 mm to 25 mm. Texture is massive formed by large grains of grey field spars with imprecise edges, which are contrast against a background of darker basic mass that is formed by fine- and medium-grained light grey plagioclases, grey quartz and small inclusions of micaceous and dark-colored minerals.

Granite quarried in the mentioned Deposit has homogeneous structure, texture and color. The Deposit has very good blocky structure which enables to quarry large-sized blocks.

Production capacity of the granite quarry is up to 1500 cubic meters per year. Explored reserve of stone is near 2 000 000 m³.

The Tansky Deposit with area of 6,1 hectares is located in the Uman district of the Cherkasy Oblast 2 km northeastwards from the village of Tanske and 1 km to the south of the village of Kosenivka.

The nearest railway station Potash is located 16 km to the north of the Deposit, and the district center Uman and railway station Uman – 21 km to the west of the Deposit. The driveway Kyiv-Odesa is crossing the city of Uman.
